Board Meeting – 7:00PM

Members Present: Dave Knapper, Tammy Knapper, Erik Pentz, Glen Simons, Marly Tebben, Norman Westby

Members Absent: Kim Baker, Bill Dale, Gary Hanson, Dan Tepfer

Call to Order: President Norm Westby at 7:011 P. M.

Secretary’s Report: Motion by Dave to approve April secretary’s report, with corrections. Seconded by Erik.

Treasurer’s Report: No report, as Dan was not available.

Committee Reports:

A. Water Quality –

1. 2 samples have been taken - May 5 and May 11. Clarity is really good. Secchi disk, on May 11, was 29+feet. This is a new record. Neither samplings were of rain events, but water was still flowing.

B. Events –

1 Garage Sale – 46 sales, not as much traffic this year, weather was good.

2 June 10 Social – Potluck will be at Knapper’s – Dave will check with Dan on paper products.

C. Membership –

1 Renters can be member too, as can the property owner. 77 paid members so far this year. Glen will print the billing. Glen will email a date to stuff them.

D. Newsletter –

1 Discussion about poor quality of pictures. Glen will get a quote from Print Masters. In the July newsletter we will add ice on/off dates per a member request. Glen will send the spreadsheet of these to Tammy. A secchi disk data should be included too. Rain Gardens could be promoted too. A rough copy will be brought to the June meeting for review.

Old Business:

A. No Dumping Signs – Will be finished in 2 weeks. We will get 2 of them – put one on NW corner and one by the outlet. The outlet needs to be cleaned up! Neighbors have been rakgin leaves near it. Glen talked to them. Cleanup will be at 6:00 on Monday, May 18 at Glen’s (outlet cleanup and stuff billings).

B. May 5 Water Quality Meeting – Reviewed the minutes from this meeting.

C. Eagle Lake T-shirt’s – No report, as Dan was not available.

New Business:

A. Welcome Boat – No new members that we are aware of.

B. Dovre Township Trail in SW corner of Lake (by outlet) – Rick Swenson contacted Norm. The township would like to put in a granite trail along the damn on the south end of the lake. They would like the Eagle Lake Association to accept liability for accidents, etc. Not sure of width or length. The township will pay for it. Norm will follow up with Harry Fenstra (insurance agent) to see how it fits into our current policy.

C. Jeff Bredberg – Called Norm and asked the association to submit bill for reimbursement by June 1. We have about $660 left. Glen will submit the bill.

D. Discussed Water Tower – McCarthy’s have been told by the sheriff’s office that the tower cannot be put in this year. Can the association do anything? Norm will call the sheriff to inquire and Marly will check with Dave Holmquist.
