Committee Reports:

A.    Water Quality –

1.      Phosphorous is the same, in the low 30’s.  Clarity was 4 ft on July 4.  It was 9 ft, one week earlier. This is typical for this time of the year.  Many south side residents obtained permits and used copper sulfate.

B.     Events

1        4th of July Parade – 8 boats participated this year.  3 prizes were given out.  We need heavier candy, so can throw bags further.  Glen followed and picked up the extras.  There wasn’t too much.

2        Annual Picnic – August 13 at Simons.  Be there at 5:15 to help set up.  Glen has the paper products.  Haglund Catering $6.25/plate for Turkey and Pork sandwiches, buns, beans, potato salad and coleslaw.  Ice cream from Nathan Reed.  Plan for 100.  Prizes – Dave will try to get some donated, but will also spend $100.  We will use 6 Eagle Lake t-shirts for door prizes. If anyone can get donations for prizes, do so and bring to the picnic.  Glen will ask Bruce Gilbertson to be on hand for the meeting.  Dave will secure the sound system.  Will ask to use Kim Baker’s tables.  Beverages – Ask Bob Fader to donate water again and will buy 2 cases of pop (diet & regular).

C.     Membership

1        Currently at 143 members.  There are about 12 more to be deposited.  Website has been active.  Email notes have lead to many hits on the website.  Went over changes to website.

D.    Newsletter –

1        Discussed quotes received (Print Masters, Universal, Baker) for printing the newsletter.  Dave made a motion to use Print Masters for the printing of the newsletter.  Dan seconded.  Motion carried.  Discussed emailing newsletter to those who prefer it.  Advantages – saves money, can see all photos in color, receive faster.  Will advertise in the newsletter and those interested may sign up.

Old Business:

A.    No Dumping Signs – are posted

B.     Eagle Lake T-shirts – Still available.  Will sell at picnic and give away 6 as door prizes.

 New Business:

A.     Welcome Boat – No new members that we are aware of.

Motion to adjourn by Dave.  Second by Marly.
