Board Meeting – 7:00PM

Members Present: Dave Knapper, Tammy Knapper, Erik Pentz, Marly Tebben, Dan Tepfer,

Members Absent:  Kim Baker, Bill Dale, Steve Kuchta, Glen Simons, Chuck Walsh, Norman Westby

 

Call to Order:  President Erik at 7:20 P. M.

 

Secretary’s Report:  Motion by Dave to approve June secretary’s report, with corrections (under events, boat parade, add the word candy after package in the second sentence).  Seconded by Marly.

 

Treasurer’s Report: June income $1410 ($60 from t-shirts), June expenses $1516 (insurance, T-shirts), Motion by Tammy to approve treasure’s report. Seconded by Dave.

 

Committee Reports:

A.    Water Quality – no report

1.      Briefly noted that John Wenke’s are doing something, but more facts coming next month.  Recent clarity testing on July 6 was 5ft.

B.     Events –

1        4th of July Parade – 6 boats participated this year.  3 prizes were given out.  We need heavier candy, so can throw bags further.  We needed more candy (6 bags bought this year).  Discussed having objects in bag with candy.

2        Annual Picnic – August 11 at Simons.  Be there at 5:15 to help set up.  Dave has the paper products.  Haglund Catering for Turkey and Pork sandwiches, buns, beans, potato salad and coleslaw – same as last year.  Ice cream from Nathan Reed.  Plan for 100.  Prizes – Dave (and everyone) will try to get some donated, but will also spend $100 (motion by Dan to spend $100 on prizes for annual meeting), seconded by Dave).  We will use 6 Eagle Lake t-shirts for door prizes. If anyone can get donations for prizes, do so and bring to the picnic.  Dave will secure the sound system.  Will ask to use Kim Baker’s tables.  Beverages – Ask Bob Fader to donate water again and will buy 2 cases of pop (diet & regular). 

C.     Membership – Currently at 130 members.  There are a few more to be deposited.  No

new residents that we know of.

 

Old Business:

A.    2010 Eagle Lake Directory – All money and advertising is due to Tammy by Tuesday, July 13!  Tammy will meet with Print Masters to get project started.  Dan will verify address around lake, so directory is as current as possible.  Will be ready to distribute to all dues paying members at the picnic.

B.     Eagle Lake T-shirts – No have is grey and red.  Will sell at the picnic.

 

 New Business:

A.     Newsletter - Went over and made suggestions.  Need information from DNR expert.  Will send PDF for all to view.
