Committee Reports:
1
March 20 a letter
was sent to S. Halverson from the DNR.
Glen will email a copy to all board members. Halverson has been talking to local
legislators (Gimse, Junke).
2
STOR IT's - is a
statewide PCA database to store water quality data (lab readings, stream
monitoring, secci disks). We can submit
data from 2000 until the present. Glen
has completed that paper work to get this set up. Data can be found at www.pca.state.mn.us, and
then search by lake. We will need to
monitor flow and data rate for this.
3
Earth Day flyer -
Saturday, April 21 at Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center from 8-1.
4
Water testing -
have the containers, need to pick date and time. Should wait for a rain event. Discussed having a meeting and touring the
sites to sample, so all board members can see where sampling takes place and
see how to do it.
